The above quote is taken directly from my new book,
Walk with Power, Peace, Presence and Purpose.
It's in the chapter on Power. 
In this book, I talk about the three kinds of power
and how to work with them toward self-mastery.

But for now, I want to talk about ways to
call in your power. 
The theme for this month: OCTOBER
is to know all about your energy.
Let's start by talking about
Boundaries.
WHAT IF.... You had better boundaries?
What would your life be like if you had mastery over your energy ?
What if you are in full control of your emotions and handle any wrenches that are thrown your way with grace and ease?
What would that feel like?
Boundaries are tricky- because most of us are "people pleasers" in many possible ways.
We're used to accommodating people and putting others needs ahead of our own. in many situations...too many situations.
But, this is also to our detriment. We can feel drained, or resentful and even an undercover annoyance- ( we don't even notice it until we lash out at something completely unrelated)
So what's the answer?
It's fairly simple.
START BY LOVING YOURSELF MORE!
(that's a pretty bold statement!)
~Where's your biggest energy drain?
~Who or What is sucking the energy from you?
~What needs to come into your life?
~Don't say "YES" when you really want to say "NO!!"
~Journal your thoughts and feelings
And then answer this question:
WHAT ONE THING CAN YOU DO - to be more loving to yourself?
Think about this carefully- and let the first answer come to mind.
It might be as simple as:
===> 1) going to bed a bit earlier; or
===>2) getting back to your yoga practice,
===>3) turning off the TV and turning on the peaceful music.
===>4) Choosing healthier foods
===>5) Sit quietly for 5 minutes and breathe deeply
You decide-
You know what it is, because it's been playing in the background of your mind.
Do me a favor- and make this promise to yourself. Start with ONE thing and stick with it for at least 7 days.
Then- see how it feels and let me know!
