Enter into Stillness
Learning the Art of Meditation by Catherine Epstein
“Mindfulness is a lifetime’s journey along a path that ultimately leads nowhere, only to who you are.” ~Jon Kabat-Zinn
I know what you’re thinking. “I can’t turn off my brain, I don’t have the time, or I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work for me.”
Resistance shows up in the strangest of ways- especially when it comes to something that we know is good for us.
If we understand the benefits of having a Meditation practice, why do we resist having one? Although I can’t answer that specific question, I can tell you that my belief is that there is no wrong way to meditate. And, keeping that in mind~ what if I told you that there is a sure-fire way to reduce stress, anxiety, and to bring more peace, focus and happiness into your life? What if I told you that it can be done by committing to only several minutes per day?
Would you believe me?
Before I founded Living Lotus Group and long before I became a meditation teacher, I’ve experimented with many different forms of meditation. In all my years of study, and after many frustrating attempts; I’ve finally found techniques that work best for me and the many clients I serve.
I developed “Enter into Stillness” as a way of introducing people to get re-acquainted with themselves. This is so they can become more balanced and focused.

There is an old adage that says: “People who say they have no time to meditate, are the ones who need it the most.”
This is my life’s work : Not only do I LOVE to help people to explore their inner world, I also help them to appreciate and accept what they find there.
With many distractions and drama, it is difficult not to get caught up in what is happening around us- yet this is the very time when we need to maintain our centered calm.
As many spiritual teachers will tell you, the way to transform your life is by reaching the inner world through awareness. All you need is tap into it. But with the intensity of energies increasing on this planet over the past few months, coupled with the personal and global dramas- how do we really find that center? By entering the present moment and knowing that is where the peace we so long for resides. If we allow ourselves to be calm and still, even if only for a moment, we can find peace even during the storm.
Our challenge is to truly observe and be the witness of our behaviors, ideally while interacting with others. When you can view yourself from this higher perspective, and integrate all of the parts of you that are participating, you gain a viewpoint of allowing the drama to unfold, but not get caught in it. This will help you to identify the emotions that are brought up without being sucked in. By doing this, it allows us to continue to disengage from the story, and to be very present for our own process.
